Penske Racing has confirmed that Todd Gordon
will continue as crew chief of the team No. 22 Shell Pennzoil Ford in 2013.
The No. 22 currently ranks 20th in NASCAR Sprint Cup Series owners’ points, after splitting the season with drivers AJ Allmendinger and Sam Hornish Jr. Gordon will be faced with yet another driver change in 2013, as Joey Logano jumps from Joe Gibbs Racing to take the wheel of the No. 22 machine. We will also have to deal with a manufacturer change, as Penske moves from Dodge to Ford.
In a Twitter posting Wednesday, Logano said, “I’m excited to announce that Todd Gordon will be the crew chief of the Shell/Pennzoil 22 car next year.”
