Thoughts and Prayers To The Fisher Family

FROM THE RAYEVERNHAM.COM NEWSROOM:

The Ray Evernham Enterprises race team extends our thoughts and prayers to crew chief Scott Fisher and his brother Douglas Fisher, who were both injured in an at-track incident on Saturday night at Bridgeport Speedway in Logan Township, NJ.

The team was working on its car in the pit area when an out-of-control race car missed its pit and struck the Ray Evernham Enterprises car in the pit area. Douglas Fisher was treated and released at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, NJ. Scott Fisher remains in the hospital in serious condition. He is awake and alert, and is in good spirits with his family. The medical team is addressing serious injuries to his legs and feet. We are working closely with the medical team and the Fisher family to get Scott the care he needs.

We would like to offer our deepest gratitude to the fellow racers and the Iraq veteran who helped provide first aid measures on pit road Saturday night. You all helped save Scott’s life.

Scott Fisher’s wife Angela offers the following, “We are very grateful to everyone who helped Scott at the track and in the days afterward. Your thoughts, prayers and concerns are much appreciated, and we will provide updates as they are available. In the meantime, we ask for privacy as we focus on Scott’s recovery.”

Thank you,

Ray Evernham
