Joe Gibbs
Racing has confirmed that Elliott Sadler will drive a full schedule of NASCAR
Nationwide Series events for the team in 2013. The move has been rumored for
weeks, since Sadler and Richard Childress Racing revealed that they would part
company at the end of the year.
JGR president
J.D. Gibbs confirmed the move today, saying Sadler will compete for the
Nationwide Series championship next year as a teammate to former series
champion Brian Vickers. He has finished second to champion Ricky Stenhouse,
Jr., in each of the last two seasons, and amassed four wins, 15 Top-5 and 24
Top-10 finishes in 33 starts this year.
What? Ricky Bobby driving a Toyota?
