"Rockin' Rodney" Joins Godfather Motorsports

Godfather Motorsports owner Dave Moody announced today that Rodney Brooks will drive the Trinity Oaks Senior Living Community Ford for the remainder of the 2013 race season.

“We couldn’t be happier to have `Rockin’ Rodney’ join our team,” said Moody. ”He did a tremendous job for us last Saturday night at South Boston Speedway, racing from 22nd on the starting grid to claim an eighth-place finish at the drop of the checkered flag. He’s a veteran driver and a team player who knows what it takes to run up front.”

Effective immediately, Godfather Motorsports will once again campaign with its traditional No. 30 on the doors and roof.

“That No. 30 is very special to us,” said Moody. “Jim Gallison, Sr. – father of GMS crew chief Jim Gallison, Jr. – ran that number for decades back home in Vermont. We can’t wait to see the No. 30 Trinity Oaks Ford back on track.”

Next up for the Trinity Oaks Senior Living Community Ford team is the PASS 150 on Saturday night, August 21 at the legendary Hickory Motor Speedway in Hickory, NC. A bus load of Trinity Oaks residents is expected to be in attendance that night to cheer on “Rockin’ Rodney” and the team.
