Busch Remains With Phoenix Racing

Busch remains with Phoenix Racing
Kurt Busch will continue to drive for the Phoenix Racing NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team.
Busch met with team owner James Finch earlier today, after being suspended from last Sunday’s “Pocono 400 Presented by #NASCAR” for a verbal confrontation with a reporter the previous week. Finch issued a written statement today saying that he and the former Sprint Cup Series champion will remain together, after discussing “adjustments” to their relationship.
“We have met with Kurt,” said Finch. “At the end of the day, we are racers, so we’re going racing together with Kurt and the No. 51 Phoenix Racing Chevrolet. We know adjustments have to be made but how we fix that is between Kurt and myself. We’re going to go to the track, work hard, race hard and work on trying to attract a sponsor – and we’re going to do that together.”
Busch has not commented on the decision.

  1. Here we go again.

Personally, I hope he's able to kick the habit. That being said, in the words of former President and fellow Wordman, Dubya..."Fool me once, shame on, shame on you. You fool me-can't get fooled again."

    Confidently Pessimistic,

    Mr. Stryker

Man, Kurt just keeps on getting chances. I am sure, once again, that he has learned his lesson and will be true gentleman from this day forward. NOT!!!

Why don't you do everyone in the racing world a favor Kurt and go back to Vegas, find that big rock, and crawl back under it!!!

  4. I wish him no ill will, but he's incorrigible. It's only a matter of time before he blows up again.

    1. Please keep in mind that we don't do name-calling here. I let it go this time, but please try to do better in the future.

in·cor·ri·gi·ble/inˈkôrijəbəl/Adjective: (of a person or their tendencies) Not able to be corrected, improved, or reformed.

Synonyms: irredeemable - unimprovable - irreparable - irreclaimable

It is not name calling by any stretch of the imagination, just fact.

The dictionary is a beautiful thing

  5. Not surprised Finch kept him on, and even if he does continue his "act" through the season, someone will pick him up for next year. He's just too talented to stay parked.

That said, I do hope he sees the light - NASCAR needs guys like him to wear the black hat, but he just needs to tone it down. I dunno about the rest of ya, but I've sure been entertained by him this year. Got my money's worth out of getting peeved at him plenty of times.

  6. I'm concerned that Kurt might snap during a race and do something that will hurt another driver or a spectator. Maybe Mr Finch should have a remote kill switch on Kurts' car so the crew chief can stop it from the pits. I said that partially in jest.
