Due to a recent influx of posts that violate our longstanding policy against profanity and name-calling, we are instituting a change on the Sirius-Speedway.com blog, effective immediately. Beginning today, all posts will be reviewed by the moderator BEFORE appearing on the blog. As a result, comments will now see the light of day only after they have been reviewed and approved by the moderator. In some cases, this may result in delays between the time a post is submitted and the time it appears on the blog. For that, we apologize.
The good news is that we will now eliminate 100% of the nastiness, name-calling and vulgarity from this site, once and for all.
This change was necessitated by a very small group of people who sadly are unable (or unwilling) to communicate without insulting others. Those people will not be missed. To the others -- the vast majority of you who have supported this site and abided by the rules -- I appreciate your input, your opinions and your many kind words of support. I also look forward to making you a part of a kinder, gentler, Sirius-Speedway.com.

ReplyDeleteI support your view on the no profanity and or name calling,but when someone who just disagrees with your position on a subject gets their post deleted how is that ok?..You would have a pretty dismal show if everyone was in lockstep..Sorry about using Anon but havent figured out how to attach a screen name.
Nobody has been deleted for disagreeing with me. Not once, not ever. People disagree with me every single day. Every post that has been deleted included profanity or name calling, whether the deleted posters want to admit it or not.

Dave, I listen to you so often I feel as if we are friends. I admire your tenasity and unwavering style for truth and responsibility, coupled with your enthusiasm and refusal to expect nothing else in others. You set the bar, my friend. There unfortunatly are "folks" out there who are limited in their ability to communicate, I applaud your position and support it completely. Thanks for the opportunity to share.

Hey, anyone who listens to or reads your stuff knows there is no one who likes a good old fashioned clean debate better than Moody. Name calling, irrelevant references - usually a (fill in the drive)/Earnhardt failed comparison, and profanity only give credence to those who refuse to recognize auto racing as a bonafide sport. Best of luck and thanks for saving the board for the rest of us!
