Sirius Speedway has learned that NASCAR will implement the new, double-file, shootout-style restart procedure on the NASCAR Nationwide Series, beginning at Daytona International Speedway on Friday night, July 3. The new system has been used without issue in the last three Sprint Cup races at Pocono, Michigan and Infineon, and NASCAR officials are now ready to roll it out for Nationwide competition.
It is expected that double-file restarts will be utilized soon in the Camping World Truck Series, as well.
