Hamlin Undergoes ACL Surgery

Denny Hamlin, driver of the No. 11 FedEx Toyota for Joe Gibbs Racing, had successful surgery on his right knee this afternoon. Hamlin is expected to make a full recovery in time for the start of the 2016 NASCAR season in February.

The scheduled offseason surgery was to repair the Anterior Cruciate Ligament in his right knee which he tore while playing basketball in early September. The surgery was performed by Dr. Patrick Connor of OrthoCarolina.

    Best wishes to Denny.

A point about today's broadcast. You had mentioned that the people fighting for Black Friday deals should just go to Amazon (it is as close as I can remember since I had to go out for a bit).

Those folks in most instances are in a different economic strata than you or many members of the NASCAR community. Cash is king, and they wait for these specials because of the limitations of their finances. I personally think it was insensitive for you not to recognize that.

  2. What I REALLY said was that there is no longer any reason to stand in the cold for hours and fight the mobs, since the same Black Friday deals are available on line. I personally think it was insensitive for you not to bother listening to what I said, before criticizing.

"Black Friday deals are available on line"

I saw the same videos you did. What does cash is king mean, or don't you understand the people of this economic strata don't shop on line or even have debit cards or credit cards?

I stand by what I wrote. Most of those folks wish they could shop on line and have what they ordered delivered to their "homes" without it being stolen.

    2. Sorry to hurt your feelings. And by the way, welcome to the "Offended By Everything/Self-Righteous Anonymous Internet Poster" club. I'm sure all the other anonymous, indignant members are thrilled to have you.

    1. When they call his number at the Banquet, maybe they could do a live two-minute remote from wherever he's recuperating.

  4. I must have missed the part of the article about Denny getting a Black Friday deal on his surgery.
