Evernham Inks WIX Filters For Prelude To The Dream

WIX Filters will sponsor Ray Evernham’s #19 dirt Late Model as he makes his sixth attempt to win the Prelude to the Dream at Eldora Speedway on June 6.

“WIX is proud to support Ray Evernham in the eighth annual Prelude to the Dream, an event that brings many of the world’s best drivers back to stock car racing’s roots,” said Mike Harvey, brand manager for WIX Filters. “This sponsorship is an exciting way for us to continue to support grassroots racing and carry on the philosophy of our Team WIX program.”

The Team WIX racing sponsorship programs and the 100 Nights of Racing promotion allow for WIX to connect with and show their commitment to local and regional grassroots racing tracks, teams and drivers. Team WIX provides local race teams across America with WIX racing gear, decals and a 20 percent rebate on WIX racing filters, while the 100 Nights promotion gives the regional and local dirt tracks a platform to promote a WIX Night at their tracks. Over the last three years, the 100 Nights of Racing promotion has been an entry point to reach these teams/drivers and has helped to expand the Team WIX program from 300 teams to nearly 3,000 teams. Local race teams can join Team WIX by applying for membership at www.teamwix.com.
“As a longtime supporter, proponent and partner of WIX Filters, I’m happy to have WIX protecting my engine for the 100 laps of the 2012 Prelude to the Dream at Eldora Speedway,” said Evernham, the former NASCAR Modified Tour driver, championship-winning crew chief and car owner, and current ESPN analyst. “Having WIX under the hood and on the hood gives me two less things to worry about on race day.”
The 2012 Prelude to the Dream highlights modern-day superstars returning to the roots of car racing by competing on a dirt track in a dirt Late Model stock car. This event provides avid fans with the opportunity to see the origins of the sport and experience racing’s biggest names performing beyond their routine element. The drivers do not compete for points and winnings, but for charity, as the pay-per-view proceeds will benefit Feed The Children. An individual champion will also be crowned.
The eighth Annual Prelude to the Dream will once again be televised live on HBO Pay-Per-View from Eldora Speedway on Wednesday, June 6 (8 PM EDT/ 5PM PDT).
