King Signs With Red Horse Racing

With former NASCAR Camping World Truck Series champion Todd Bodine already signed to drive in the season-opening “NextEra Energy Resources 250” at Daytona International Raceway, Red Horse Racing has added a second driver to its 2012 truck lineup.

Rookie of the Year contender John King has been announced as driver of the No. 7 Red Horse Racing Toyota Tundra. The Fort Blackmore, Va., native has made seven career starts in the Truck Series, most recently in October of last year at Kentucky Speedway. The 23 year old King has a career-best Truck Series finish of 15th, which he claimed in his 2010 debut at Bristol Motor Speedway. King is a graduate of the Fastrak-sanctioned Crate Late Model Series, racing with that sanctioning body in both 2006 and 200. In 2009, he was a part of the Bill Elliott Driver Development program, competing in the highly competitive UARA-STARS Late Model Series.
