The Trucks return to the Rock April 15! |
The NASCAR Camping World Truck
Series returns to the historic Rockingham (NC) Speedway on Sunday, April 15 for
the “Good Sam Club Roadside Assistance 200 presented by Cheerwine,” but if you
wait until Sunday to come to the track, you’ll miss a lot of the action.
Speedway President Andy
Hillenburg announced today that the cars of the UARA-Stars Late Model Series will
be first to hit the track on Friday, April 13, with a pair of practice sessions
at 10 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. The Camping World Truck Series takes to the highbanks for
a pair of practice sessions on Friday: at noon and 3:30 p.m. Friday's on track
activities culminate with practice and qualifying for the Frank Kimmel Street
Stock Nationals from 5:15 p.m. until 6:15 p.m.
Grandstand admission is free for all
of Friday's activities.
The Tough Trucks of NASCAR are
scheduled for two more practice sessions on Saturday -- 9 a.m. and 11 a.m. –
with UARA qualifying set for at 10:05. The UARA Late Models will take the green
flag for their 75-lap event Saturday at 2:00 p.m., followed by qualifying for
the Camping World Truck Series at 3:35 p.m. The Frank Kimmel Street Stock
Series main event finishes the Saturday schedule with a 75-lap event at approximately
4:45 p.m.
"It’s going to be a
jam-packed weekend of racing," said Hillenburg. "Anyone coming out
for any (or all) of the three days needs to make sure they get here early, or they’ll
miss something really cool."
