Officials from Darlington Raceway and the Bojangles fast-food chain announced today a new, five-year title rights sponsorship for the Bojangles Southern 500. The deal, announced this morning at the NASCAR Hall of Fame, will see Bojangles replace Showtime as sponsor of NASCAR’s toughest 500-mile event, with Bojangles food offered at concession stands at the speedway.
Darlington
president Chris Browning called the agreement a natural association between two
longtime Southern brands. This year’s Bojangles' Southern 500 is set for Saturday
night, May 12, with the NASCAR Nationwide Series competing the previous night.
