Racers have always been a
superstitious lot. But defending NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Tony Stewart
has taken the concept of “good luck charms” to a whole new level.
Delana Harvick – wife of
fellow driver Kevin Harvick -- and Sirius XM NASCAR Radio host Angie Skinner
have both been targets of Stewart’s devotion to ritual in recent seasons; victims
of a pre-race “booty grab” that Stewart insists was the impetus behind his
improbable 2011 championship run.
Harvick recently returned to
the track for the first time since giving birth to son Keelan on July 8, and
the groping resumed almost immediately. ESPN’s caught Sunday’s latest
installment, as part of the network’s GEICO 400 pre-race coverage.
For the record, Stewart has
been known to “goose” Kevin Harvick, as well, when the opportunity presents
itself.
I know it's all in good fun, but I'd be a little pissed if I was Kevin. Just Sayin....
ReplyDeleteAnd it doesn't exactly send the right message to kids either, does it? I know it's all done in "fun," I get that, but this is not the age we live in. If a kid had done that at school to a fellow classmate, or if someone did this in their workplace, would it be funny...and taken so? Don't think so...Think of the uproar that would cause!?!
DeleteYou guys are too sensitive. It is something that Smoke does from time to time and is a joke. Harvick gets it done to him as well every once in a while. Did you not read the story? I bet you guys get all bent out of shape when someone looks at your woman too... Geez, it was all in good fun.
DeleteOnly in NASCAR can the media make this a story worth publishing. This is as bad as the articles written and tweeted about Jeff Gordon growing a mustache. These types of articles being written by the NASCAR media goes hand in hand with poor track attendance and poor TV ratings. I'm sure there are 100's of credible stories that can be written and tweeted the day after the first chase race. I bet this topic even makes it way to the airwaves of Sirius XM Nascar Radio as well. So sad!!
ReplyDeleteHere's how it works, Jake. This is my website and my blog. I write about anything I feel like writing about. Reading my blog is voluntary. If you don't like what you see here, feel free not to read it. Or better yet, start your own blog and run it any way you like.
DeleteWow another senseless death of a sense of humor. When will it stop??? Wish I was in Smokes shoes. He's a lucky man. So many to grope and so little time...

Dear Mr Moody
DeleteIf NASCAR can report on who the lovely Miss Patrick is picking to win the championship the I see no reason as to why you can't or shouldn't report on the good luck tushy grab of Mr Stewart. To bad Miss Skinner wasn't at the race so Smoke could of got a double dose of good luck!
Seriously were going to complain about this were going to here about it as well as all the other highs and lows that went with this weekend from Jr's engine change ,Johnson's dominating the race , to who knows what else will be brought up. I for one think it's great we have these small funny topics to talk about makes it even better for the conversation to come. Oh and I highly doubt Stewart grabbing Delana Harvick's ass is the reason the attendance and tv ratings are poor.
DeleteWell said Dave!I give you credit...I sure wouldnt have your patience dealing with some of the opinions expressed.I know, to each their own, but good grief! Go Smoke!
DeleteThat is the funny with all the stories we hear from Miss DeLana and Angie about it, I'm glad ESPN got it on video. Oh did you see how high DeLana jump that was priceless. Great story Moody.
ReplyDeleteyou tell him dave we need funny things posted as well as hard facts keep it up
ReplyDeleteLove you as a reader, listener, and fan of YOUR smokin hot wife Moody!! You better keep HER away from Smoke...AND Calinoff...rotflmbo...;-)
