Kyle
Busch returns to the NASCAR XFINITY Series this weekend at Michigan
International Speedway, at the wheel of the No. 54 Monster Energy Toyota Camry
for Joe Gibbs Racing.
The
race will mark Busch’s first XFINITY start since sustaining injuries in the
season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. A compound fracture of his
right lower leg and a broken left foot forced Busch from the cockpit for 11
weeks. He returned to the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series four weeks ago at Charlotte Motor
Speedway.
Busch
will make his 298th XFINITY Series start at a track where he has one career win,
six Top-5 and six Top-10 finishes. He last visited MIS Victory Lane in 2004.
His
future XFINITY Series schedule has yet to be announced.
