Caterpillar Inc. has announced the renewal of its sponsorship
of Richard Childress Racing’s No. 31 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Chevrolet and
driver Ryan Newman.
Caterpillar began its NASCAR involvement as a team
sponsor in the NASCAR Nationwide Series from 1995 to 1996, before moving to what
is now the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series in 1997. Its relationship with RCR began in
2009, with Newman assuming the driving duties of the Caterpillar Chevy SS this
season.
Not a word from NASCAR about the departure of Home Depot. What a shame to lose such a great sponsor. With the NASCAR fan aging I wonder where they can go for sponsorship next?
ReplyDeleteWhy would NASCAR comment? It's a JGR sponsorship.
DeleteKeep those blinders on my friend. The sport can't survive on truck drivers and baby boomers.
