Billy Boat Motorsports has
announced a new sponsor partnership with Keen Parts, through their www.corvetteparts.net
brand, for the NASCAR Nationwide Series season-opener at Daytona International
Speedway. Keen Parts will serve as an Associate Sponsor for the No. 84
Chevrolet Camaro as 21-year-old driver Chad Boat makes his Nationwide debut.
"We're excited to
have Keen Parts onboard for Daytona," said team owner Billy Boat.
"They have been in the sport for a few years, so we feel very fortunate to
partner with a company like Keen Parts as our program continues to expand.
The team has been working really hard to prepare for this upcoming season and
the Daytona test showed that the No. 84 will be competitive."
Keen Parts will also
work with Billy Boat Performance Exhaust to develop and distribute stainless
steel exhaust systems for the C1, C2, and C3 Corvette, in addition to a new
line of exhaust for the Corvette "RestoMod" conversions.
"Keen Parts covers
all your Corvette part needs whether it is for a '58 or the new C7, and we are
proud to have them as a preferred distributor," added Billy.
"This is an exciting partnership and we look forward to doing more races
with them in 2014."
NASCAR approved Chad
Boat to participate in the NNS season-opener after a strong Preseason Thunder
test session at the historic 2.5-mile superspeedway where the No. 84 Chevrolet
topped the speed charts during the final day of testing.
"The guys have
worked really hard to build a new car for Daytona and it showed with the speed
we had at Preseason Thunder," stated Chad Boat. "The No. 84
Chevrolet felt really good during the test and we proved that we can run up
front with the multi-car teams. I am thankful for this opportunity and
all the hard work everyone has put into this program to get ready for the
season."
