Sponsor Announcements Abound at Daytona

It’s been a busy day on the sponsor front as Media Day 2012 invaded Daytona International Speedway, with a number of new backers announced for various teams.

Roush Fenway Racing announced a new primary sponsorship for 2003 Cup Series champion Matt Kenseth. Zest soap and body wash will serve as Kenseth’s primary sponsor for four races during the 2012 Sprint Cup Series season; beginning with Las Vegas on March 11 and continuing through Daytona (July 7), Kansas (October 21), and Martinsville (October 28). "NASCAR has some of the best fans when it comes to brand loyalty, so we're looking forward to welcoming Zest to our sport," said Kenseth. Scorpion Protective Coatings Inc. – makers of truck bed liner, window film and protective coatings -- will enter the NASCAR arena for the first time this season, joining Front Row Motorsports as a multi-race sponsor of the team's 2012 Sprint Cup Series campaign. Scorpion will serve as primary sponsor of David Ragan's #34 Ford in the season-opening Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400; as well as an associate sponsor for the remainder of the 2012 season. We can't wait to see the Power Pak Pudding car on the track on national TV!”

NEMCO Motorsports has announced that AM FM Energy LLC will be the primary sponsor of Joe Nemechek's No. 87 Toyota for the Daytona 500, with an associate sponsorship in the Drive4COPD 300 Nationwide Series race. After Daytona, AM FM Energy will be on both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide cars in select races throughout the year. "There is nothing that seems to beat the winning combination of our name on the NEMCO team cars," said Andy Mays, president of AM FM Energy. "Each time we are on the cars, we can see a notable boost in our business and that's because we know Joe has earned high respect and visibility in NASCAR and has some of the most loyal fans." It's Zest for me when I go shopping this weekend.........I am so glad for everyone at Roush-Fenway for getting a NEW primary sponsor. Way to go. If I had a pickup truck. I'd spray the bed too.....

Great show today everyone. You make us proud. And while everyone else is writing fluff stories and Busch Brothers stories, you bring us real worthwhile news.

Way to go Moody and Angie, I bet you are both SO HAPPY to be back at the track.
