WSOC-TV in Charlotte, NC, is reporting that authorities were told by a confidential source that she witnessed former NASCAR driver Jeremy Mayfield purchase and consume methamphetamine on hundreds of occasions, and that Mayfield was stealing to support his drug habit.
In a search warrant on file with the Catawba County (NC) Sheriff's Office, the source says she saw Mayfield purchase and consume methamphetamine "over 500 separate times." The unnamed source also provided authorities with specific details on a number of local burglaries and thefts, implicated Mayfield as a central figure in those thefts and revealed that the stolen property was being hidden at Mayfield's home.
Sheriff's deputies discovered more than $100,000 in stolen items in a raid on Mayfield's home Monday, along with approximately 1.5 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia. Officials are expected to present additional theft charges against Mayfield to a grand jury early next week.
I hate to say it, but I can see only one ending to this... good thing they confiscated the guns now, but the future is another issue.

As he spirals near the drain!!!!!

I spent most of my young live surrounded by tweakers. Both of my brothers spent time in prison for drug related crimes. Not just crimes for having or doing drugs. But crimes committed because of the drug. Ive seen many peoples fall from grace. some fell soft some fell hard. Jeremy is leaning towards the hard. I only saved myself from it because I was able to move away from it to a place where it hadnt takin hold of yet. Meth is a powerful demon,
ReplyDeletekinda smells like "she" maybe his wife. Who else would he be around 500 times??
ReplyDeleteHaha 4sure on the wife @badream
ReplyDeleteActually good for her if it is indeed Shauna, trying to save the guys life when clearly he's totally out of control and full of denial.
ReplyDeleteI still feel like he's been set-up, ever since he raced for Ray E. and made comments re: Ray needs to get out of truck garage (re: Erin) and pay attention to his cup team, not too long afterward, Ray let him go..... Let's see, I'm leaning towards conspiracy theroy; I'm just saying!!!!
ReplyDeleteIf you're still buying the conspiracy theory at this point, you need an eye exam. They found methamphetamine in Mayfield's LOCKED safe! How many people do you think had access to that safe? They also found thousands of dollars of stolen property in LOCKED storage trailers in his yard. Do you have locked storage trailers on your property without knowing what was in them? Pretty unlikely.
ReplyDeleteAt this point, Jeremy reminds me of the guy on COPS who responded to the hunk of crack being found in his pocket by saying, "These aren't my pants."
Yeah, Ray Evernham is clearly behind all of this. It's all just a big setup perpetrated by him, NASCAR, the drug testing labs, police, prosecutors, and all of his friends. Do you hear how ridiculous that sounds?
ReplyDeleteHad a neighbor that was hooked on crack.
ReplyDeleteThankfully he admiited his problem and got help.
I see so many of the same signs w/ Mayfield, it is not funny.
Hopefully JM wakes up and realizes he is the problem, not everyone else.
And if you think JM has been setup, you might be on something as well.
Was is his mother or mother-in-law that threw him under the bus the last this time crap came up? Regardless, I think it's her. She already came forward prior saying she freakin smoked it with him.
ReplyDeleteSomeone call Dr. Drew.
It was his former mother-in-law who testified against him a year or so ago, but she has been removed from his circle, to say the least.
ReplyDeleteI tired of the whole mayfield bit already, he's old news let's get on with Texas
ReplyDeleteI hope he doesn't make another conspiracy story out of this. But that's always an addicts defense. and he's spending all his money on attorneys. Instead of using the money to get help.... sigh

Sad to say the least. I hope that JM has now hit the bottom and will seek the help he needs to get his life back on track.
