The four NASCAR
Sprint Cup Series organizations had planned for an extensive three-day test
session beginning Monday, but steady rain prevented them from participating in
any on-track activity. A 100 percent chance of thunderstorms Tuesday and
intermittent rain throughout in the morning prompted them to pack their bags
and head for home.
Following Sunday's race
at Talladega (Ala.) Superspeedway, all four organizations will return to Texas
Motor Speedway for a rescheduled three-day test session, beginning Monday from
3-10 p.m. CT. The teams will also run Tuesday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. (with a
two-hour break from 4-6 p.m.) and Wednesday from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Richard
Childress Racing will join the test on Tuesday and Wednesday.
