We Remember...

Nine years ago today, Hendrick Motorsports and the NASCAR community suffered an indescribable loss when a Beechcraft Super King Air 200 aircraft crashed on approach to an airport near Martinsville, VA.

Killed in the crash were Ricky Hendrick (son of team owner Rick Hendrick), Rick’s brother John Hendrick and his twin daughters, Kimberly and Jennifer; Hendrick Motorsports general manager Jeff Turner and chief engine builder Randy Dorton. Also lost were DuPont executive Joe Jackson, Scott Lathram (pilot for driver Tony Stewart) and the pilots of the Hendrick aircraft, Richard Tracy and Elizabeth Morrison.

We here at GodfatherMotorsports.com remember those lost on that terrible day, and offer up our prayers on the anniversary of the tragedy. They will never be forgotten.
