Truex said early this week
that while he had spoken with FRR, “there is nothing
to talk about yet. They’ve done a great job this year and I’m interested in
their program,” he said. “They’re definitely on my radar, but we’ll just have
to see where it goes.”
Sources close to the team
say an agreement was reached last night to have Truex replace Kurt Busch at the
wheel of the No. 78 Chevy when Kurt Busch leaves the team to join Stewart Haas
Racing next season. There is no word on whether NAPA Auto Parts might accompany Truex to Furniture Row Racing next season.
An official announcement should come
early next week.
Couldn't happen to a more deserving driver.
ReplyDeleteI hope Napa goes with him.It was not his fault what happened
ReplyDeleteHappy for the Jersey boy. Good Luck in '14.
ReplyDeleteThat would be a good fit for both, also if he could bring napa big bounce.
ReplyDeleteCome oooooooooon NAPA!
ReplyDeleteAlthough, it wouldn't break my heart to see them as a tile sponsor for the Nationwide series, once they leave.
I'm glad Truex landed on his feet sooner rather than later.
