BREAKING NEWS: Tim George Injured In Snowmobile Crash; Will Not Compete For RCR In 2013

George hurt in snowmobile crash
A broken ankle suffering in a recent snowmobiling accident will force Tim George, Jr., to cancel a planned part-time schedule of 2013 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races with Richard Childress Racing.

George made 12 Truck Series starts for RCR last season, driving the No, 2 Chevrolet Silverado with sponsorship from the Applebee’s restaurant chain. He had a best finish of ninth in the fall race at Talladega Superspeedway, and also won the pole at Kansas Speedway in late April.
Calls to Richard Childress Racing in search of comment today were not immediately returned, but sources say the shutdown of the No. 2 Truck team could result in the layoff of crew chief Gere Kinnon and nearly a dozen crewmen.

Tim George Jr. begs to differ... he says on twitter that he is NOT out for season.

    1. Where in the story did I say he was out for the season? I said he broke his ankle in a snowmobile crash, which is true. I said his Richard Childress Racing Truck Series program has been shut down, which is true and confirmed by RCR. And I said that roughly a dozen RCR employees lost their jobs as a result. That is also true.

      Reading is a skill.
