Kyle signs new, long-term deal. |
Busch alienated officials of Toyota
Racing Development by criticizing their engine program following the AAA 400 at
Dover on September 30, but sources speaking on the condition of anonymity say
the automaker will make a significant monetary contribution to ensure the
24-time Sprint Cup Series winner remains in a Toyota Camry for the next five
years.
Busch finished 13th in
championship points last season and failed to make the Chase for the NASCAR
Sprint Cup. He won just one race, the Capital City 400 at Richmond International
Raceway in late April, and had 13 Top-5 and 20 Top-10 finishes in 36 starts.
Neither
Busch nor JGR have commented on the new deal.
OK. I understand they think they can win with him. It just means no M & M's for me until after 2017. Probably a good thing all around.
ReplyDeleteHey Anonymous, you should support ALL of the Nascar sponsors, if the sponsors go away, Nascar goes away.
DeleteAnd if morals and values go away, everything goes away. The sponsors can find plenty of respectful drivers with talent.
DeleteI can't figure out why Joe Gibbs puts up with his childish behavior
