Two Crewmembers Suspended For Drug Policy Violations

Two NASCAR crewmembers have been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy.

Jackson L. Dodson II, a crew member in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, was found to have violated Sections 12-1 (actions detrimental to stock car racing) and 19 (violation of the NASCAR substance abuse policy) of the 2013 NASCAR Rule Book on May 9.

Michael Waltrip Racing confirmed today that Dodson was an employee of the team, but has been terminated, effective immediately.
The following day, NASCAR Nationwide Series crewmember Frank W. Earnhardt was also found to have violated Sections 12-1 and 19, and was similarly suspended from NASCAR.
