“Toyota
is honored to partner with such a successful event that will benefit many
families and children in need,” said Les Unger, Toyota National Motorsports
Manager. “Martin and Sherry Pollex do a tremendous job of giving back to the
community with the Martin Truex Jr. Foundation, and this Catwalk for a Cause
fundraiser in particular, and we are excited to be a part of this event.”
The
night’s pinnacle event is a New York style runway show with fashions provided
by Lavendar, Avalilly’s and Fresh Boutiques, featuring the hottest designer
labels for spring.
For many,
the highlight of the show is watching the Levine Children’s Hospital patients
walk the Catwalk to raise money for their own cause – “The Martin Truex Jr.
Special Needs Fund.” The fund was created at LCH in 2011 to provide patients
and families of children being treated at Levine with assistance in paying for
medically necessary services, supplies and special programs.
“We are
delighted that Toyota is our partner in this event. As we enter our fourth
year, bringing in such a high profile partner like Toyota will help us continue
to grow the scope and fundraising opportunities for the Foundation and our
Special Needs Fund at Levine,” said Sherry Pollex, owner of Lavendar Boutique.
The event
features a couture raffle with designer apparel and a silent auction featuring
diamond jewelry, sports memorabilia, vacation/spa packages and more. Back by
popular demand this year is the hand-painted pottery created by the children at
Levine’s. Plus, for the first time ever, NASCAR fans can participate in a live
Twitter raffle during the event by donating to MTJF through the Foundation’s
Twitter handle -- @MTJFoundation.
Tickets are
still available at www.martintruexjrfoundation.org. The $75 “Fashionista”
ticket includes general seating, drink and raffle ticket and a “Swag Bag.” All
tickets include complimentary valet parking and gourmet food.
